Secretary of State for the Department of Business and Trade Visits Teva Plant in Israel
Rt. Hon. Kemi Badenoch MP led a delegation to our Kfar Saba sterile manufacturing site
Teva was pleased to host an important high-level visit from the Rt. Hon. Kemi Badenoch MP, Secretary of State for the Department of Business and Trade to our Kfar Saba sterile manufacturing plant in Israel.
The Secretary of State was joined by the British Ambassador to Israel Neil Wigan OBE and other UK government officials for a tour of our Kfar Saba site, as well as a wide-ranging discussion covering Teva’s presence in the UK and the vital role we play as one of the largest suppliers of medicines to the NHS. We also used the opportunity to highlight some of the challenges the pharmaceutical industry faces in the UK, in particular around the Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines Pricing and Access (VPAS).
The visit came as the Secretary of State kicked off negotiations for a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the UK and Israel.
“This visit from the Secretary of State to Teva is a real recognition of the vital role we play in improving the lives of patients and delivering value to the NHS here in the UK,” said Kim Innes, UK & Ireland General Manager.
“I’m proud we had the opportunity to showcase the impact we make every day for patients up and down the country.”
