Reducing our CO₂ emissions & energy use

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is responsible globally for about three-quarters of all greenhouse gas emissions. At Teva we’ve worked hard to reduce our CO₂ across our UK sites.

We are fully committed to playing our part in meeting Teva’s ambitious global long-term environmental goals to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 33%, increase energy efficiency by 10% and the total proportion of energy generated from renewable sources to 50%, to continue to minimise waste generated from our operations by 2030 (vs. 2017 levels).

With commercial, manufacturing and research facilities across the UK, we actively implement measures to avoid, reduce and control pollution as well as promoting responsible use of energy and natural resources across our sites.
