Leading a Responsible Business
We believe a responsible business is one that enacts and enforces strong practices and controls to ensure all activities are carried out ethically and transparently
As a global company that influences the health and safety of millions of people, we recognise our responsibility to conduct our business with integrity and protect the environment and our employees. Operating in this manner helps ensure our long-term sustainability, allowing us to focus on what matters most - improving health.
We lead a responsible business by promoting compliance, ethics and transparency, protecting the environment, improving sustainability across our supply chain, ensuring patient safety and engaging and supporting our people.
Compliance, ethics and transparency
We hold ourselves to the highest professional and ethical standards, as this reflects our moral values. Our 360-degree approach to compliance was developed to cultivate a culture of ethics and honesty. This includes Code of Conduct trainings for all new employees, ethical behavior training campaigns and systems to protect our company from within through our Office of Business Integrity.
Environmental sustainability
As the leading supplier of quality generic medicines and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and with 65 manufacturing facilities around the world, it is our fundamental responsibility to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and other requirements designed to protect the environment.
We strive to reduce the impact of our operations, collaborate with stakeholders and implement Teva’s Global Environment Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) to ensure we effectively manage environmental, health and safety risks, compliance obligations and performance.
Supply chain
We expect the highest ethical standards throughout our supply chain, as suppliers play an integral role in our business and impact our ability to provide quality medicines to patients every day. We track high-risk suppliers’ corrective actions, increase supplier diversity and drive initiatives with key partners to increase shared value across the industry’s supply chain.
Patient safety
Teva has a comprehensive, transparent and uncompromising approach to medicine quality and safety. This includes carefully monitoring all of our medicines, conducting thorough evaluations at every stage of their lifecycles and identifying opportunities to reduce the risk of counterfeit drugs.
Our people
When our employees are engaged, healthy and safe, they can work to their full potential. It is our responsibility to invest in their well-being and success and provide an enriching, rewarding work environment. We support our employees through health and well-being programmes, leadership and professional development training opportunities and initiatives designed to manage their safety.
